Throughout the pandemic, even though we rarely left the confines of our home, I wore makeup nearly every day. I found comfort in the routines I'd always kept and applying mascara was just as grounding as my morning cup of coffee. It wasn't necessarily that my makeup felt as necessary or exciting as it once had, like when I'd discover a shimmery shadow for a date night or a red lip to make me feel emboldened for a big meeting, but that consistency in putting myself together most days helped things feel more normal. And as our worlds begin to open up, I've begun to tiptoe back into some of the things that used to bring me joy, a new linen dress (for dinners outside our own home!), a pair of modest heels for a date night, and discovering beauty products I'm excited to incorporate into my routine. The timing couldn't have been better since my recent Sephora haul coincided with one of their biggest sales of the year, of up to 20% off for BeautyInsiders (it's free to join!) with the code OMGSPRING. Here's what I bought and have been loving:

Charlotte Tilbury 'Pillow Talk' Lip Liner ($22, now as low as $18 with sale). I've worn and loved the lipstick version of this cult classic shade for a while and finally decided to bite the bullet on the liner, recommended here. When worn together, they make my lips look...well, pillowy in the prettiest, subtle way and love that I can also use the liner when worn under a mask and my color won't budge.

Anastasia Brow Pen in 'Medium Brown' ($22, now as low as $18 with sale). I've been growing my eyebrows out for the better part of a decade and this is the product that most naturally mimics the look of actual hairs. The tip is suuuuper fine, which means I can use it sparingly and in the most awkward of sparse places and the result mirrors the eyebrows I had before the '90s.

Fenty Beauty 'Space Cookie' Eyeliner ($22, now as low as $18 with sale). Since we'll still be wearing masks for the better part of who knows, I've been putting more effort into my eye makeup. 'Space Cookie' is a smoky brown with glints of sparkle that I tried on in store and actually had another customer ask what I was wearing (we both ended up with it in our respective carts).

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial ($28, now as low as $22 with sale). Yet another product I'd been meaning to try for a while and am so glad I finally did. I now use this twice a week as a sort of resurfacing, at-home facial that completely transforms my skin. It looks less dull and drab and instantly glowy and smooth and has already earned its position as a forever mainstay.

Supergoop! Mineral Sheer Skin ($38, now as low as $30 with sale). While I prefer sunscreens that offer a bit of iridescent coverage (looking at you, Tula and Supergoop!), Sloan and G prefer more straightforward sunscreen. This one gives a natural finish, is made of 100% minerals, and blends in effortlessly so I don't have to spend too long wrestling Sloan to make sure she's properly covered.

Bite Upswing Liquid Liner ($25, now as low as $20 with sale). I've made mention of my quest to find the perfect liquid liner for a while now and am pleased to say I found one that checks all the boxes. It glides on without catching on your skin and deposits seriously inky color that doesn't budge all day long.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist ($28, now as low as $22 with sale). I've been really into mists lately and am excited to try this one out. I'll be the first to admit that I'm a sucker for cute packaging and appealing marketing and a product that promises refreshing radiance from a watermelon mist is right up my alley.

Burberry Brit Perfume ($85, now as low as $68 with sale). Do you ever find yourself nostalgic for scents you used to wear? Apparently that was the case here because I recently revisited Burberry Brit, a perfume I wore in my early 20s that always got rave reviews. Though some of my other previous scents feel far too juvenile to wear now, this is not one of them and it's just as delightfully light and romantic as it once was.

Urban Decay 'Rockstar' Eye Pencil ($22, now as low as $18 with sale). While I'll always be loyal to the Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks I own in nearly every color, I wanted more of a traditional eye liner for those times when I want to make more of a statement. 'Rockstar' is a gorgeous deep purple that still manages to be completely wearable for day.

Ilia True Skin Serum Concealer in 'Yucca' ($30, now as low as $24 with sale). This is the concealer I've sworn by for a while and my only complaint is that it comes in a tube that can break (which is sadly the case for the one I've been using for the past few months). I'm thrilled to have a new one that can close properly and live with the rest of my makeup products, since this is one of my favorite parts of my routine: It goes on smooth, never cakes or builds up, and leaves my skin looking luminescent with just the right amount of coverage.

Urban Decay Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray ($33, now as low as $26 with sale). Another rebuy of a fantastic item I've used for years. Now that spring and summer weather are upon us (as well as masks and sunglasses, which can rub makeup off), I rely on this setting spray that seals my makeup in a light mist that both hydrates and controls oil.

Benefit The Porefessional Pore Primer ($32, now as low as $26 with sale). I don't always use a primer, but when I do, this is the one I reach for. It almost blurs the look of fine lines and imperfections so that your makeup looks even better and more natural on your skin.
