One week in the city of lights.

On Saturday, G and I leave for a week-long vacation to Paris. Neither of us have been and since we booked the trip a little over a month ago, it's been such a fun thing to sit down and plan together each night. It will be our first time away from Sloan, but I know she'll be in good hands with my parents. Of course I can't even think about leaving her without crying (I was nearly hysterical when we left for our honeymoon and said goodbye to our cats), but I'll have the long plane ride to compose myself.

G and I have always maintained that just because we're parents doesn't mean we shouldn't still make our relationship as husband and wife a priority. Between living together, being parents to Sloan, and running a business, so much of our day to day is swept into this precise, somewhat chaotic schedule. Our goal in Paris is to see as much of the city as we can, but in a way that still feels relaxed and indulgent.

We've been pretty strategic about how we've approached our trip, first pinpointing the things we want to try, then organizing those based on location. We still need to significantly whittle down our restaurant list (even despite the additional meals we'll undoubtedly cram in each day, there's no way we can hit up 60 spots), but I think we're in a good place.

We have a lot of fun content planned while we're away (including a tour of our newly renovated guest house), but in the meantime, if you have any can't-miss spots in Paris, I'd be so appreciative of any recommendations! x
