New and Improved

Last night I went to to get my hair cut and colored and when you have long, thick hair, it takes a while. As in, a really long while. So much so that instead of waiting the extra 40 minutes to get a blowout at the end, I opted to leave with wet hair. I walked out of the salon resembling a drowned rat and within minutes I was shivering and frustrated. My hasty departure got me thinking about my lack of patience of some of my negative traits that I would like to change. It's not always easy to admit things about yourself that could use some improvement, but acknowledging the issue is the first step. Here are a few things I need to actively work on: 1. Relaxing. Whether I'm up worrying at night or hurriedly rushing through a meal, I need to remember to take a deep breath and just relax. 2. Don't be afraid of failure. I've never been that comfortable in the kitchen, but failing is sometimes how you eventually succeed. Plus, was it really

big of a deal when an entire batch of cookies came out in one giant puddle? (I mistakenly used powdered sugar instead of flour). 3. Take time for myself. I'm constantly running around multitasking, but it makes such a huge difference in my day when I take a few moments and do something for myself (even if it's as simple as taking a walk). What are some of the things you'd like to improve about yourself?
