Five Things
If you subscribe to our emails, you already know we've been doing things a little differently lately by listing off our weekly top three 'Highs' and 'Lows.' I first heard about this idea from my friends Tony and Marta (you may remember them from this post!), who love to ask that question at the end of a week by simply saying, "Okay. Highs and Lows?" It allows you to take a tally of the week in a new way—sometimes, I struggle to find any 'Lows', which helps me from taking those weeks for granted. Other weeks, I feel limited by just choosing three and have a hard time narrowing them down. By no means do my 'Lows' (which range from the mundane to the serious) compare to or devalue anyone else's struggles, but it feels therapeutic to give voice to those moments. I've come to realize they're just as important to recognize as the 'Highs' and that life is all about the balance. A little reflection goes a long way, so if you find yourself in a rut or simply want to bask in some happy moments, give it a try. Have a great weekend!
