Sloan started school this week and the transition to this new step was both rewarding and challenging. While she'll still be at the same place where she had her weekly toddler classes, she's now a full-time student from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. every weekday. While I can't quite pinpoint why it's been so daunting, since she's well-adjusted and thrilled to be spending more time with the friends and teachers she adores, I think it might have to do with the fact that she isn't solely ours anymore. We used to have access to her throughout the day, but she now has her schedule, with a new routine and experiences. It used to drive me crazy when my dad would ask me every night of high school, "What did you learn today??" but I finally understand why.
P.S., As a Northern California native, one of the questions I receive most frequently is: What are some of your favorite spots in San Francisco? This coming Wednesday, I'll be sending out an email with my guide to spending an afternoon in the city!
