The fact that she not only knew she was doing something wrong but was also mimicking me felt like such a small, uncharacteristic act of rebellion that both G and I immediately burst out laughing, which in turn made her start laughing. It was a small moment but, standing in the kitchen laughing before 7 a.m., made me feel so grateful for my little family. Let's just hope that this is where her rebellious streak begins and ends.
