I feel like I've been playing catch-up since we returned from our trip on Sunday evening. I didn't have the chance to get things settled like I normally do - and without time to do laundry, clean the house, buy groceries, etc. I've felt slightly behind all week. But instead of fighting the urge to get everything in order, I embraced the chaos that came with it, and hosted a bunch of friends for 'The Bachlorette' finale on Monday, moved offices on Wednesday, and went to a concert last night. Though I was a bit short on sleep and sore from moving so many boxes, it was a nice reminder that things don't always have to fall perfectly in place. That being said, I'm looking forward to a low-key weekend.
This is the time of year that, like clockwork, I start to go nuts on candy. I'll take any excuse to make candy corn a meal, so the month of Halloween does a pretty good job of keeping my blood stream laced with sugar. I already have our Halloween costume planned out (stay tuned ...read more
