Today one of my best friends is coming to stay with us for the weekend and I can't wait for her to arrive. I always considered her to be one of my "newer" friends, because we met at the ripened age of twelve, while in middle school. It's weird to think that we haven't lived in the same city for over a decade, even though I usually know what she's had for lunch or what she's planning to wear for an interview. But whenever she visits, and we find ourselves on the couch talking for hours, it makes me realize that distance isn't a deterrent for family. Have a great weekend.
