Five Things
Sometimes you don't realize you've been in a funk until after it's passed. Between back-to-back illnesses in our house, I feel like I hadn't been entirely myself for a bit. But things really clicked into place this week. To start, it felt completely like fall - with cold, overcast mornings and brisk evenings that required an extra blanket. Halloween was a big success - Sloan loved trick-or-treating (last year she only hit up a few houses) and even insisted that we wait on the sidewalk while she sauntered past a bunch of older kids in order to claim her candy. And even though the Dodgers lost, watching the World Series made for the perfect excuse to get together with friends multiple nights in a row (and order good take-out). I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend and continuing on my quest to get our house gorgeous and clutter-free by Thanksgiving. Have a good one! x
