Slowing down and staying in.

Sloan and I have our second colds in what seems like two weeks, so it was a slow, quiet week. In the past, I would have pushed through all of the meetings and dinners I had scheduled, but I now realize the importance of slowing down. Besides the fact that it helps me kick sicknesses that much quicker, it's a nice reminder that it's okay to give myself a break every now and then. I'll be leaning into comfort food this weekend (is it just me or is eating healthily when you're feeling under-the-weather so unappealing?) and laying low. Hope you all have a good one. x

P.S., As someone who grew up in the Bay Area, less than an hour from the thick of the fires still burning in Northern California, my heart goes out to all of the families affected. If you're looking to help, you can donate to the American Red Cross here or follow this link to more options.
