Five Things
On Thursday of last week, we learned that our front yard, which we're redoing, was having concrete poured on Tuesday that needed to dry for a full 24 hours. This left us with two options: be hermits (always my go-to choice), or get out of the house for a mini-vacation. We rarely have the luxury of spur-of-the-moment trips now that we have Sloan, but we spontaneously decided to visit my parents in Mill Valley for the long weekend. We spent the majority of the time hanging out with family, enjoying the unseasonably beautiful weather, and taking Sloan to some of the same places my parents took me when I was her age. Since we only got back home Wednesday afternoon, we've spent the past two days diving back into work and overseeing the backyard construction, which is nearly its own full-time job (hence no Weekday Wardrobe this week). As nice as it was to spend time with my parents, we're looking forward to a quiet weekend at home with our girl.
