Here's the deal. We like to think of ourselves as an elevated company and brand, but over the past few months our office has, to put it lightly, not reflected the decor ethos we believe so strongly in—that a clean and beautiful space begets a beautiful life. Looking back, life just got in the way: Since moving into our office two years ago, our team has more than doubled, we launched the Shop then transitioned fulfillment in-office (which means everything you order has been personally packed by a member of our team!), then designed and launched a shoe collection. To put it simply, we were busy. Our once-pristine office was moonlighting as a media and clothing line headquarters, storage facility, fulfillment center, event space, photo studio, oh and workspace. It's not that we were dirty, but we were certainly messy. Boxes piled in corners, shoes took over our credenza, and our pantry became one big junk drawer.
Last week, inspired by Emily's recent overhauls of her own home, we dedicated an entire day to organizing the office from top to bottom. We gave shoes the attention they deserve on our bookshelves, styled our desk shelves, organized drawers, and took back our pantry. It's amazing what one day of cleaning can do!
