A Peek Into My Light-Filled Office
A few months ago, I shared a tour of my office on Instagram, and afterward, you all asked for one specific thing: more photos. Since I last showed the space, I've been styling and organizing it to be my exact dream office, and it's finally there. While this office is technically cupcakes and cashmere's third "official" home (if you don't count the guest room of our first apartment together), it's home to my first-ever office. In every previous space we've leased, my desk has been either in the center of, or very close to, the rest of our team's desks. I loved it—and often find myself working from our bay of editorial desks—but always dreamed of someday having a door I could close to get work done, take sensitive calls, and simply avoid distractions in the face of tackling my inbox.
Even though my office technically has a door, it's enclosed entirely by windows which not only let in light but help me from feeling entirely removed from the rest of the team. From my chair, I can see most of our editorial team, have a clear view of our conference room (and the hills beyond it), and can even see G's office through the windows of our smaller conference room.
