For the past few years, I've skipped the Super Bowl altogether (though I did tune in for Beyoncé, obviously). But this year I'm ready - not really for the football portion, but mainly the food. We're going to a viewing party, so I wanted to come up with a cute concept that incorporated the two teams (even if I did have to look them up online). I made white cupcakes and added nonpareils to make them feel a bit festive (just make sure to add a small amount and barely stir or else the color will bleed). I whipped up a classic buttercream and cut thin candy ropes to create the pom pom fringe. I'm still ambivalent towards the game itself, but at least we'll have good things to eat throughout the day.
