Since Southern California's weather varies little throughout the year, I rely on culinary traditions that signify the arrival of the different seasons. In autumn, I buy Pumpkin Butter from Trader Joe's that has such a distinct, spicy smell that's reminiscent of falling leaves and crisp mornings. At the onset of summer, I visit local farmer's markets for their incredible strawberries. Though it might be hard to tell in the photographs, there are six baskets worth of berries in this enormous Tupperware, for an incredible $6.
