Up until this past week, I had never tried key lime pie. As a lemon meringue enthusiast, I always chose the familiar favorite when given the opportunity. The thing I never realized was that key lime pie has a graham cracker crust, which in my opinion, is far superior. Since everything tastes better in miniature form (e.g. M&Ms minis), I made individual tarts using this recipe. It didn't call for meringue, but I added it anyway (recipe here) and was so impressed with the results, that I've decided it's my new favorite pie.
