When it comes to dessert, I'm really not picky. Sure, I have my favorites (they're starred on this page), but it's rare that I'll ever turn down an opportunity to have something sweet. Doughnuts have never been a top contender among cookies and cupcakes, but on the rare occasion that I'm craving one with a cup of coffee, there's nothing better. Ever since I mastered the art of frying (with these and these), I've been wanting to try my hand at classic doughnuts with a chocolate glaze. I'll admit that they took an entire afternoon, but even with the threat of scalding oil, annoyingly sticky dough and the fact that my apartment still smells of grease, they were truly fantastic.
