While my pregnancy ended a few months ago, my intense cravings haven't really subsided. As a result, I keep a pretty well-stocked pantry, filled with my favorite candies, cookies and other snacks. But a few weeks back, I was desperate for home-baked chocolate cupcakes with a rich, buttercream frosting. It was a warm Sunday afternoon and though it would have been much more productive to do laundry or meal plan for the week, I felt like time in the kitchen would be much more therapeutic. Sometimes the sound of my stand mixer whipping up frosting and the smell of chocolate baking in the oven helps me reset after a long week.
