I think caramel apples are one of the most appealing desserts imaginable. And it's such a simple concept: dunk a piece of fruit into a sugary coating, and you're done. I had set aside the better part of yesterday afternoon to make these, but decided that instead of making my own caramel, I'd simply melt down the little ones that come already packaged. It only took a few minutes, which is why I took the time to color code my Reese's Pieces (fun, but totally not necessary). I can't wait to host my first brunch so that I can package these up and tie them for a sweet treat for my guests to take home.
