Easy Blackberry Mojito
A lot of people are intimidated by mixing cocktails at home, but once you get the recipe down, a subtle twist can make it a little more special. Here's how I've been adding blackberries to a classic mojito for a refreshing take on what's quickly become a favorite summer drink. P.S. Here's a link to my dress.
Ingredients (makes 2 drinks):
8 mint leaves
12 blackberries
2 tsp extra fine sugar or agave syrup
Ice Cubes
4 oz light rum
2 oz fresh lime juice
Club Soda
Directions:
In the bottom of a mixing glass or cocktail shaker, muddle together the mint, berries, and sugar/syrup. Add ice, rum, and lime juice, cover and shake for about 20 seconds, or until the cocktail is very cold. Fill a Collins glass with ice and strain the cocktail into the glass. Top with club soda and garnish with sprig of mint.
