"Bad weather" in L.A. is worlds apart from "bad weather" in most parts of the country. Here, January temperatures generally fluctuate between 50 and 75 degrees so that our winter more closely resembles fall or spring (which doesn't stop us from complaining that it's "freezing" when it dips into the low 50s). However limited our thermostat range is, it also means we're masters of transitional dressing—since lighter coats, generally reserved for spring and fall, are our year-round go-tos.
