"Bad weather" in L.A. is worlds apart from "bad weather" in most parts of the country. Here, January temperatures generally fluctuate between 50 and 75 degrees so that our winter more closely resembles fall or spring (which doesn't stop us from complaining that it's "freezing" when it dips into the low 50s). However limited our thermostat range is, it also means we're masters of transitional dressing—since lighter coats, generally reserved for spring and fall, are our year-round go-tos. Whether you live in the midwest or Southern California, there's a light at the end of the tunnel: Spring is coming, and now is the time to prepare for it. Come April, you'll be glad you did! In addition to this ultra-flattering Love Token coat, I'm also loving this layer-friendly herringbone jacket, shorter teddy bear style, and classic olive trench, as well as these:
