Why I'm All About Polka Dots This Season

Celine Sunglasses (more affordable version here), DL1961 Denim Top, Samantha Pleet Denim (similar version here, on sale!), Saint Laurent Heels (in blue here, on sale!), Staud Bag
Like pink and purple and mid-length flared dresses, polka dots can easily veer from playful to childish, which is why I often avoid them altogether in favor of stripes, a safer, more streamlined bet. It took me a while to fully embrace them when they came back into vogue last year (as illustrated by a style breakdown and interview with my friend Anita), but this time around feels different, with more than a few options that feel fully grown-up:
1. Tie Front Dress ($165)
2. Free People Top ($88)
3. Valencia & Vine Blouse ($128)
4. Faithfull Stepper Dress ($132)
5. Keepsake Moonshine Dress ($180)
6. Sunday's Dress ($225)
7. JOA Polka Dot Dress ($89)
8. WAYF Flutter Wrap Dress ($84)
9. Saloni Midi Dress ($550)
10. DVF Silk Top ($430)
11. Embroidered Cotton Shorts ($80)
12. Ulla Johnson Pullover ($450)
