When someone says "paisley," a montage of pink and purple swirls comes to mind. I immediately equate it with unflattering dresses I wore in the 90s, and nearly vowed to write it off forever as a ditsy, too-feminine print. That's why it came as an enormous surprise to me, when I realized many of my favorite prints this season are paisley—but the key is that they're grounded in browns, blacks, and other rich fall hues. Instead of young and cloying, this top, for example, feels elegant and sophisticated, especially when paired with a paper bag waist or leather mini. I Thought I Hated Turtlenecks Until I Found This One
