It may be springtime in L.A., but what we call "June Gloom," a layer of marine fog that settles over the city in the summer, came early this year. As a result, the mornings are unseasonably chilly and damp, but by afternoon, it's clear-blue. This means that dressing has been a challenge since my outfit for the day needs to strike a happy medium between cozy and warm, then breezy and non-suffocating. To this end, I've been wearing a lot of light sweaters with pants that work well with summery sandals (I can't get enough of this pair, which I purchased last month). This sweater from Rails has been one of my favorites to throw on in the morning. It goes with pretty much anything and I love the "S" detail, which adds a fun, retro-varsity vibe with a personalized touch. You can customize it to be any letter, but mine stands for both "Schuman" and, more importantly, "Sloan."
