This past weekend we woke up early on Sunday morning and drove straight for the beach. Compared to the beaches in Northern California, with quaint towns tucked along windy roads, the ones in Los Angeles just don't excite me. They're often loud and packed full of tourists (and don't even get me started on the parking), but luckily for us, it was nearly deserted at 9am. So after a leisurely walk, we left just as the crowds started to arrive and ducked into our favorite spot for brunch.
