I haven't worn a belt around my hips since college, when I'd wear them with prairie skirts, turquoise jewelry, and clunky platforms. Instead, I've bought belts to wrap around the smallest part of my waist, as a way to make my less-than-lengthy legs appear longer. I saw this belt on display a couple of weeks back and loved the tomboy-inspired look of a low-slung striped belt with broken in jeans so much that I decided to embrace the look, this time without the prairie skirts.
