We don't experience 'fall' in L.A. the same way other parts of the country do. Palm trees don't turn to brilliant shades of orange and gold, but the marine layer of clouds may stick around for a few hours longer, and the nights get noticeably chiller (even if our definition of 'chilly' is 50 degrees). Yesterday, the overcast clouds opened up and it sprinkled for a few minutes—at least creating the brief confirmation that October is in fact here, and giving me a reason to pull out one of my new favorite dusters from our fall collection. I've never met a plaid blazer I didn't love, but this one feels particularly special—it's thick enough to function as a fall coat (not just in southern California), with deep orange lines that would fit in perfectly at any fall activity, whether at a pumpkin patch, for an evening of Trick-or-Treating, or Thanksgiving dinner.
