The vast majority of times I wear a black blazer, it's to pull-together jeans and a tee, but I was inspired to step outside of my comfort zone a bit and throw it on over a cami and silk skirt. Paired with kitten heels, it's exactly the kind of outfit I would wear to an important meeting.

We have an office-wide joke that I regularly dress grandma-chic—but this might skew more grandpa, and I couldn't love it more. Officially plan on living in this uniform until it's too warm to handle it.

Anytime I put on a white Oxford top, I think of my mom who lives in them. While she usually selects chunky gold jewelry and men's jeans, this outfit feels like an homage to her preppy sensibility—without fully abandoning my west coast roots. I'd generally wear this outfit with a denim jacket, but the black blazer instantly pulls it together in an outfit that's a notch above the casual wear I generally rep to the office.
