G jokes that I deem everything as my "favorite" on a regular, recurring basis. Whether it's in the form of dessert (the affogato at Jon and Vinny's), a new musician (Troye Sivan) or lipstick shade (Topshop 'Rio Rio'), it's fair to say that I can be hyperbolic. But last week when I was out to dinner with a couple of friends, we got on the topic of true all-time wardrobe favorites. Cristina said that her red Fendi bag, though the biggest purchase she's ever made, was easily her best. And Alina quickly decided on her black tweed Iro jacket she found at a consignment store in New York. Mine surprised all three of us.
My all-time favorite item in my closet is my pair of Zara nude strappy sandals. I own multiple high-end designer shoes, but these are the ones that get the most compliments. They were less than $100 and I bought them at the same time I got my lesser-used-though-still-great black pair online. As far as single-sole heels go, they're remarkably comfortable and mold to my foot better than any others I own. Since they match my skin tone so closely, they're elongating and flattering, which is why I wear them constantly (see above and below for just 10 of the times I've sported them on the blog). They're one of the more classic, simple - one could even say boring - things I own, but can be dressed up or down seamlessly, which make them invaluable.
Do you have an all-time favorite pair of shoes?
