The vast majority of my dresses fall firmly in one camp: dressy, or casual. Which is why I play favorites with ones that swing both ways (this one is another example). I'd wear this graphic coral dress with cute flat sandals and a jean jacket on the weekend, or with neutral heels for a breezy outdoor work event this summer. It's also different than most dresses I own by being neither maxi nor mini, which gives it a sweet little spin. With a different hairstyle, I might feel too much like a school teacher, so I balanced the midi length with messy, modern, barely-there waves.
