I've always been a sucker for florals against a dark background since it's the perfect print for transitioning seasons. The wildflowers on this dress give it a carefree, spring vibe while the dark foundation makes it sophisticated enough that it wouldn't be totally out of place in January. Since I live in Los Angeles—and winter means 60° and sunny most days—I paired it with a light trench and socks with sandals. While I've paired gray socks with heels in the past (here and here), I matched the socks to the same black shade of my new heels to create a more sleek sock-boot effect that allowed the print of the dress to shine. If you don't live in a warm enough climate to go bare-legged in January, the dress would work just as well with black tights and a heavier coat.
