I've been to Palm Springs dozens of times but somehow I had never gotten around to doing any vintage shopping while I was there. I would just hunker down by the pool with a book and a drink and pretty much stay there for the whole trip. But this past weekend proved to be a bit different - primarily since our hotel was kind of creepy. I had heard great things about Route 66 West for a while (mainly for their impressive collection of costume jewelry), and I came home with this vintage Chanel bag. The prices in the desert proved to be about half as much as those in L.A., which was certainly a bonus since I had decided this was coming home with me the moment I saw it.
