Lately I've been favoring the 3-piece formula of a crisp romper, long coat to offset the shorter length of the romper, and neutral single sole sandal (you can see my last example of the look here). This time, I stuck to a monochromatic color palette for a streamlined effect. It should come as no surprise that I can't say no to pale pink things, and this Club Monaco piece had me at hello. I like that it's such a light pastel pink it's almost nude, but not quite. It's feminine but sophisticated, and offers architectural details without being stiff. It made me feel pulled-together for a lunch meeting on a gloomy day (when you just want stay in pajamas).
