I've always admired menswear, to the point where I'll click on the Men's section of a website just to peruse (even if I know there's nothing there for G). When I came across the brand, Capulet, I was instantly drawn to its background story—it's owned and designed by three men who made the leap from menswear to women's fashion—and feels fresh and wearable. I love how the lace-up closure on this dress shows enough skin to be flirty, but is still subtle. Combined with the army-green hue and utilitarian shape, it makes me feel somewhere between ready to conquer the world and all dressed up for a daytime date with G (I took the latter option for this particular day). Since there's a lot going on with the lace-up front, pockets, tassels, and waist belt, heels would have looked overboard - so I dressed it down with simple white sneakers and a straw hat.
