The '70s lace-up trend has been showing up on seemingly everything lately, from bathing suits and denim to sweaters and skirts, and I have to say I'm not sick of it yet. I think it works especially well as an update to a Breton striped dress. The sailor-inspired look is cute and clean, so it lends itself to some allure in the form of a lace-up element. I also like that the white rope sticks to the nautical theme without being kitschy. I threw on my favorite trench from our line along with a pair of nude pumps and red accessories (bag, lip, and nails), for a final look that combined preppy boat culture with a classic city aesthetic.
