In the summertime, white dresses dominate my closet. While there's nothing wrong with wearing a little color—or even black—there's something so definitively summery about a light, airy number. I designed this piece to fit a hole in my own closet. While I owned plenty of barely-there, tiny white dresses, I had yet to find the maxi of my dreams, so I created it. The end result was better than I could have ever expected: The short, lace kimono sleeves and lattice trim along the skirt create the perfect movement and sway. You might even say it's worthy of its own acronym (see you next season, LBD).
