Los Angeles has been HOT recently, and in summer-like spells, the temptation to wear cotton separates skyrockets. While I've resorted to my fair share of baseball-park worthy outfits, I also need to be able to dress for the weather in chic, business professional ensembles. This draped silk blouse and pair of trousers from Club Monaco (which is currently having a 30% sale on clearance items, like these pants) could not have caught my eye at a better time. The loose, breezy fabric is so breathable and comfortable, yet the architectural pieces look like they could be from The Row. I love the cropped length and asymmetrical front seam of the pants, which at certain angles make them look like a cool maxi skirt. After shooting this outfit on a 90-degree day and feeling simultaneously comfortable and pulled-together, I decided this is my new uniform.
