There’s something so nostalgic about mimicking the colors of our flag this time of year. I remember as a kid wearing full on stars- and stripe-printed jumpsuits or similar over-the-top patriotic bathing suits for pool parties. And though I’m not as bold anymore, I’m still a sucker for an Americana vibe once the summer months hit. This off-the-shoulder shirt is a fresh play on the nautical trend, which I designed to hit higher on the shoulder so it isn't just made for Saturdays. Paired with ivory trousers and a red lip, it felt seasonal yet appropriate for a meeting in June. I may just celebrate the 4th of July in it too, swapping in denim cutoffs, an extra large straw hat, and an ice-cold beverage.
