I've admired the look of feathered skirts for a while, but was consistently dissuaded by two main factors. The first was determining whether it was too theatrical for everyday use (or something my cats would try to hunt the minute I hung it up in my closet). And secondly, any time I got around to trying one, they all had the same problem: the feathers would ruffle in a weird way, immediately get staticky and the whole look more closely resembled a wet bird rather than something fun and flirty. But this one manages to remain intact, with good movement and pairs just as well with a silk camisole as it does with a relaxed sweater.
