I went through a period after college when I wore dresses almost exclusively. I'm sure I must have owned a pair of pants or a skirt, but you wouldn't have known it based on what I wore every.single.day. Obviously that kind of obsession often results in a rebellion of sorts, so not too long after that, I turned on my beloved staple: dresses suddenly were far too predictable and overly simple. And they are, but I've come around to realize that's the beauty in them - that a shirtdress can look put together when worn with a basic belt and a good pair of heels and that kind of easy dressing is such a luxury.
