Last weekend, I waited until the last possible minute to decide what I was going to wear to the Veuve Clicquot polo match, and the three things I was considering just did not work. One of those items was actually this gold sequined skirt, which I love, but it would have been a bit too casual when paired with a simple tee. (And since that's my favorite way to wear such a glitzy piece, especially for daytime, I decided to hold onto it for another time.)

When I found myself completely uninspired by my closet this past Monday morning, I decided it was exactly what the week called for. Paired with a simple grey tee, black Zara booties, and a bold lip, I received close to a dozen compliments while grabbing breakfast, and it felt like such a fun thing to bust out for just a regular day.
