If there's anything I'm least likely to splurge on, it's sweaters. For one thing, I live in Los Angeles so the timeframe for "sweater weather" is brief at longest, and when I do invest in an item, I often gravitate towards more traditional wardrobe staples, like a good pair of trousers (including those featured here) or shoes and bags. But when I came across this merino wool sweater, I knew I had to have it. The barely oversized sleeves that end in a constrained cuff and fall-colored stripes are reminiscent of the seventies, but timeless. In that way, it's the perfect investment piece: memorable and cool, but something I'll keep forever.
