A few months back at the Rose Bowl Flea Market, I found a pair of vintage wingback chairs for our office. Despite their age, they were remarkably comfortable, a classic shape, and I brought them both home for $75. But there was work to be done...a couple of the buttons were missing, they were an unfortunate green houndstooth, and there were some questionable stains (pretttty sure it was blood, but I told myself it was just red wine). I've done some reupholstering in the past, but mainly with straightforward pieces (like these chairs), so I took these to a professional. I picked out a heather gray microsuede fabric and asked for the legs to be stained a dark mahogany. They now flank two corners in our office and it adds such a cozy, inviting touch to the room.
