Why I Chose to Go with Short Hair, Again
For the past year or so, I'd been trying to grow my hair out. It's not because I thought it was looking particularly healthy and lustrous, but I liked the simplicity of being able to put it in a top knot. I hadn't even stopped to consider whether it was looking its best or just weighing me down.
To kick off the year, I decided to go for it, with a new choppy lob that feels both blunt, but with movement, and feels infinitely fresher. Like a lot of other women, I have a tendency to get too attached to my hair, but as soon as it was cut, I knew I'd made the right decision. As an interesting side note, I'd also been feeling the need to get it colored, but once it was cut, it somehow looked lighter than before. It made me realized how bored and sluggish it'd been making me feel, and it's remarkable how such a small adjustment can completely reenergize you. To those of you considering a change, I can't recommend it enough!
