From looking at the tube, I didn't think Lanolips Ointment would be anything special - another glossy, sticky, tinted lipgloss—but it has the perfect amount of tint and glides on like butter. It's also incredibly hydrating—after wearing it during some of the hottest days we've had this spring, it was the only thing I needed to keep my lips from getting chapped. It's 100 percent natural, without artificial fragrances, parabens, or petroleum. It gets its name from the ingredient that makes it so effective, lanolin, a wax produced by sheep which mimics human skin lipids (as a note, the ointments are completely cruelty-free as lanolin is a by-product of wool washing). The 'Strawberry' shade, which has a light pink tint, gets its flavor from actual strawberries (as in off the vine, not made in a lab). They recently released three new shades that I love—my favorite is a purply color called 'Rose' that I keep in my purse whenever I need a little more color.
