It's so easy to get into a make-up rut, applying the same products the same way each and every morning, that I feel compelled to switch things up from time to time. I recently saw a woman out at lunch wearing a simple outfit (jeans, t-shirt, and a blazer), but punched things up with an unexpected blue lid and light pink lip. Here's my take on that look that's a fun departure from my normal routine.
Step 1: Apply blue shadow to your lids, making sure to blend well with a separate clean brush.
Step 2: Wet the tip of an angled eyeliner brush, and using the same blue shade (or a slightly darker one), line along the lash line and just along outer bottom lashes. Smudge it a bit so that the look's not too perfect.
Step 3: Apply mascara to your top and bottom lashes.
Step 4: Finish the eyes by adding a bit of highligher to the inside to really make the blue pop.
Step 5: Before applying lipstick, apply concealer to lips to create a neutral base. I recently bought this pink shade and am pretty much obsessed.
