A Few Questions

What’s playing on your Spotify right now? If my song choices for my daily pourovers on IG Stories are any indication, I listen to just about everything. Lately I hop between awesome female singers like Maggie Rogers, Dua Lipa, and Jess Glynne, then to funky beats by Jungle, Friendly Fires, A$AP Ferg, and then how can I not mention Drake, Beach House, Cher, Adele... Did I mention that my taste is random?
One thing you never leave the house without? These days, a mask and hand sanitizer! Other than safety necessities, my headphones. Walking around my city with music is how I do my best thinking.
What's one quirk only your best friend would know about you? I asked my best friend this and she sent me a photo of us painting my old apartment, saying “You can comfortably fit yourself into abnormally small spaces”
Describe your perfect Saturday. Any perfect day would be an autumn day; sunny and 65 degrees. I’d go for a morning walk with Justin (my boyfriend) and Benny (our corgi puppy) to our local park, pick up some seasonal produce at the farmers' market, and head back home to make coffee and breakfast. We’d drive upstate for a hike, come back home to make dinner on our grill (that does not currently exist, but one day!), settle down with some cider or wine, and obviously finish the day with some oat milk ice cream.
Are you a morning person or an evening person? What’s your routine like during that time? I love mornings for a little me time: I make my pour-over coffee, try to not look at my phone too much, and get grounded for the day. For creative work (writing, photo editing, content planning), evenings are my jam.
What are your favorite things to talk about? Why people are the way they are. I’m incredibly fascinated with people’s personal stories and the relationships in our lives (not just romantic ones). Small talk makes my INFJ personality cry inside.
How do you wind down after a tough day? I snuggle my son, Benny (known formally as Benedict Cumberbatch), for as long as he will tolerate me, then move onto curling up on the couch with my boyfriend and some takeout Thai food from our favorite local spot.
