Wine Country

April 12th, 2011

I always forget just how relaxed I am when in Northern California. This past weekend my parents and I drove all around wine country for potential wedding venues and managed to make time for some great meals and champagne tasting along the way. The process of finding the right place is daunting and might take a while, but at least we enjoyed ourselves the whole time.

  1. Beautiful..

  2. My husband and I got engaged when we were living in LA, and then moved to SF. We looked in the wine country for wedding spots and happened upon Westerbeke Ranch in Sonoma which was perfect for us. Don’t know if it’s your style or if it fits how many folks you plan to have, etc., but it was lovely for us.

  19. i was a guest at the first wedding at ken & kurts wine country farmhouse. it was one of the best wedding i have been to. such a special place to say your ‘i do’s’.

  20. i recognized the photo of the freemont diner sign! did you end up eating there? i just went on my honeymoon a couple weeks ago to napa and it was blissfully relaxing!! love the warm light there and of course, the wine in abundance. :)

  21. I would recommend Paradise Ridge Winery – it’s gorgeous. Not too stuffy, a little rustic and wonderful view. I did a wine tasting trip last summer and that’s the one place that stood out as a place I would consider getting married. Hey, you’d also get to say you got married in Paradise :)
