White Out

April 15th, 2008

Now that I finally have a slight pigment to my skin after a wonderful weekend in Palm Springs, I no longer camouflage with everything white in my wardrobe.  Since it’s definitely my preferred color to wear in warmer weather, I’ve lately been on a hunt for some new pieces for summer.  Lucky for me, there’s currently an influx of alabaster options readily available at the touch of my fingertips.  After combing through some high-end sites, I realized that finding an expensive white dress is not a hard task, which is why I posted three of my favorites, all under $70.  Kimchi & Blue’s Dandelion dress, with subtle embroidery down the front, is trimmed with crochet detailing and has such a subdued shape.  Though I usually avoid linen since it undoubtedly wrinkles after mere minutes, I fell for Gap’s Linen Wrap Dress, with its puffed cap sleeves and cute pleating details.  Lastly, American Apparel’s Baby Rib Cross-Back Summer Dress is a top pick seeing as how I’ve been a fan of their ultra-comfy shirts for years, their dresses must surely be just as soft.
