Wedding Wear

April 6th, 2010

If your calendar looks anything like mine this summer, you’re in dire need of cute cocktail dresses appropriate for multiple weddings.  Since white is out of the question and you don’t want to be confused for one of the bridesmaids, there are plenty of fun options at a variety of price points.  Whether you’re decked out in feminine florals or a mini dress in a bright, notice-me-now shade, you’re bound to find something that fits the dress code.

Thanks for pointing out that white is NOT APPROPRIATE for a wedding! I feel like people are forgetting this…

i have the pefect garden floral dress that would be ideal fora garden wedding. fortunately, i have no weddings on my schedule this summer. (i had one last summer, it was WORK). I’ll just have to settle for wearing my bright and gorgeous dress in Barcelona in July! (soo excited!)

I have to agree with Victoria, most of these dresses are too short for the sort of weddings I have been to (all floor-length and tuxedos). And where I’m from, you are not supposed to wear black (because it’s reserved for funerals) or red (because it’s too flashy, and supposedly it symbolises that you’ve slept with the groom!). Otherwise, lovely selection of summer dresses:)

My summer is packed with weddings too! I can not wait, as that half of them are on the beach :) . I’m planning on buying a floral dress similar to Zimmerman’s Chiffon that you posted, perfect for the beach breeze!

Hi! I’m relatively new to the blogging world, but wanted to offer my insight…I’m an American currently living in England and tried that Topshop abstract floral dress on a few weeks ago. It was a bit of a moo moo on me, but I struggle with dresses sans definition haha. Up close the print is quite digital looking, if that makes sense! Still cute and casual though!! I really enjoy your blog.
